The Magician Within…
In a world that has seemingly rejected the ancient ways, we have sometimes forgotten our access to the energy of the Magician.
A reliance on technology and modern thought has meant that we are out of practice in the creation of our own reality. How often have we stopped to realise that we have the power to create something out of nothing every day?
The archetype of the Magician teaches us about creation and our capacity to bring into being what was never there before. It allows us to reclaim our birthright as co-creators of the universe.
To step into the energy of the Magician is to embrace the world of ideas, secret wisdom and ancient knowledge. This is often achieved through the process of initiation where the Magician is both student and master.
There is a distinction between the Magician as a Master of Technology and the Magician as a Knower. While the former is a Magician of the material world, the latter is a Magician of the psyche.
Moore and Gilette believe that while we live in the age of the Magician of the material world as evidenced by the advent of new and groundbreaking technology, the Magician energy seems to be in lacking in the non-materialistic, psychological or spiritual space.
There is an imbalance.
There are many ways to correct this imbalance but chiefly, it comes from reconnecting with the sacred. In modern life, there appears to be no fixed point or centre. There is no pillar to the divine. We have not made space for it.
To acknowledge the sacred, we need to rediscover the holy places of our private universe by surrendering ourselves to the power of the sacred. This is not necessarily the belief of an external God but rather, the acknowledgement of the regenerative power or energy that exists for both our personal use and for social regeneration.
We can recreate this by recognising our divinity and oneness with the universe.
We do not have to passively accept whatever happens to us. We can create what we want in alignment with our highest good.
